Wood Art... The "DadWood" Series

I find the wood on walks. More like my treasure hunts. It’s amazing to me the beauty of discarded, broken cedar wood left to decay as a result of fire, flood, or even progress, for the sake of procuring our nature trails. I find such joy in discovering that one-of-a-kind stand-out piece hidden under debris and dirt. I clean it by spraying it out with a power wash, break and/or chip away some for balance, then sand and seal for finish. Every piece is so different. Some are simple, others complex, but all are stunningly unique. Hence the name DadWood... Resurrecting dead wood with a little artistic TLC and finesse, enhancing the original beauty demonstrated by our loving Father God.
